Organizacje nurkowe to powołane przez państwa, instytucja naukowe, firmy lub osoby prywatne podmioty, mające na celu tworzenie ram organizacyjnych, prawnych i szkoleniowych dla celów nurkowania. Można podzielić je na zajmujące się nurkowaniem: Rekreacyjnym, Technicznym, Naukowym czy komercyjnym (prace podwodne). Istnieją również organizacje będące zrzeszeniem organizacji nurkowych i pełniące rolę platformy wymiany informacji i ustalania wspólnych standardów: EUF, RSTC.
